My driveway has sprouted loads of weeds, in particular dandelions. So I decided to check them out and was quite impressed, I am now seeing them in anew light. The dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) is a herb, the greens are edible and are a rich source of vitamin A. Ingested as a medicinal tea, dandelion was most commonly used to treat liver diseases, kidney diseases, and spleen problems. Less commonly, dandelion was used to treat digestive problems and skin conditions. Although there is no scientific proof it works.
More commonly in the UK, it has been mixed with Burdock as a fermented fizzy drink since 11th century, the fizz occurs naturally, along with sarsaparilla these are my favorite fizzy drinks.
