A female Bee (if she’s not the Queen Bee or a surrogate Queen) goes out everyday, does the shopping (no change there) for pollen and nectar from flowers. They also build and protect the hive, clean, circulate air by beating their wings, and perform many other societal functions.
What does the male Bee or drone do? Well some may think he has an easy job, he gets to have sex once if he is unlucky, as he is haveing his end away his bits get ripped off and he dies, sod that!. There must be a celibate monkhood for bees. If he remains celebate then he gets to live off the honey that the workers bring in, then there is a good chance that come the Winter he will be expelled from the hive when they need to conserve their food stuffs.
So who is better off?
